SOAK Protection Plan

While it’s extremely rare for items to be lost or damaged, we take every precaution to protect your laundry. Each order is tagged and kept together, separate from others. We wash laundry in cold water unless you specify otherwise, ensuring whites and colors are sorted appropriately. Clothes are dried according to your preferences—either on normal heat or hang-dry.

Our WashrPros use standard washers and dryers, following methods similar to what you would do at home, minimizing any risk of damage or loss. However, in the unlikely event that items are lost or damaged, you’re covered under the SOAK Protection Plan. You may choose your preferred protection plan in the app while placing your order.

Identification Card Verified

SOAK verification system cross-checks user information, government-issued IDs, and other details to ensure the identity of every WashrPros.

Background Cleared

Our thorough background checks ensure that every WashrPros is a trustworthy and law-abiding citizen.

Interests Aligned

SOAK algorithm evaluates WashrPros using various performance metrics, including customer ratings, to rank them effectively. Jobs are then distributed according to these rankings, ensuring that most customers are serviced by our top-rated WashrPros.

Detergent Options

When placing your order, you have two detergent choices:

I Will Not Provide:
If you opt not to supply detergent, our WashrPros will use a top-rated detergent for your laundry.

I Will Provide:
If you prefer to provide your own detergent, please include it with your pickup. Our WashrPros will use your detergent and return any unused portion to you.

Fabric Softener Notice

Fabric softener is generally not recommended as it can damage fabrics and reduce the lifespan of clothing. For this reason, SOAK WashrPros typically do not stock or use fabric softeners. However, if you prefer to use a specific fabric softener, please mention it in the “special instructions” section, and we’ll be happy to accommodate your request at no additional cost.

Hot or Cold Wash?

We typically wash clothes in cold water, following expert recommendations for optimal care. If you prefer hot water, please specify this in the “special instructions,” and we’ll gladly accommodate your request.

Other Laundry Products

SOAK WashrPros exclusively use only inventory detergent for our wash-dry-fold service. However, you’re welcome to provide any additional laundry products, such as fabric softener, dryer sheets, or bleach. WashrPros will use your products according to your instructions and return any unused items to you at no extra charge.

Other Services

SOAK specializes in a wash-dry-fold personal laundry service designed for your convenience.

Our SOAK WashrPros are dedicated to providing efficient laundry care. However, please be aware that they do not search for stains, treat stains, or use any stain removal products.

Additionally, SOAK WashrPros do not offer extra services such as ironing, lint removal, shoe cleaning, or dry cleaning. Our focus is on delivering clean and folded laundry to meet your basic needs.

Pack by Family Member

At SOAK, our WashrPros are dedicated to sorting your laundry by family member and item type, making it easy for you to put everything away. If you have any special requests, please include them in the “special instructions” or feel free to message your WashrPros directly.

SOAK Laundry Service - Pricing & Payment

Pricing Information

SOAK Standard laundry service, provides (next-day) delivery is priced at RM1.50 per kg in most zip codes.

SOAK Express laundry service, provides (same-day or overnight) delivery is priced at RM2.50 per kg in most zip codes.

Both services include free pickup and delivery.

Cost per Bag

We don’t charge per bag; instead, you pay based on the weight of your laundry in kilograms. The number of bags you use won’t affect the price per kilogram. In fact, using smaller bags is preferred by our WashrPros, as it makes handling easier.

Estimated Cost

SOAK Standard (next-day) laundry service costs RM1.50 per kg in most zip codes.

SOAK Express (same-day or overnight) laundry service is RM2.50 per kg, with higher rates in some areas. Pickup and delivery are free.

An average basket of clothes weighs about 4.5 kg, which can help you estimate your service cost. To determine the exact weight, use a bathroom scale: weigh yourself first, then weigh yourself holding the laundry. Subtract the first measurement from the second to find the weight of your laundry.

SOAK accepts credit cards, debit cards.

Most households send 9-27/KG of laundry per week.

How to Verify Weight

To verify the weight of your laundry, weigh the bags after delivery.

You can use a standard bathroom scale at home. First, weigh yourself alone, then weigh yourself holding each bag. Subtract your weight from the total to find the weight of each laundry bag.

Minimum Fee

The minimum order charge for SOAK varies based on your selected service type. You will be able to view the minimum charges for your area before placing your order.

Receipt

Once your laundry is washed, dried, folded, packed, and weighed, your credit/debit card will be charged for the service. A detailed receipt will be sent to your email upon completion of the transaction.

Potential Fees

Missed Pickup Fee

A fee of RM15.00 will be charged if WashrPros arrives for pickup and your laundry is not available at the designated location.

Unsanitary Fee

A fee of RM20.00 may be applied if your laundry is deemed unsafe for WashrPros to service.

Do I need laundry bags?

You can use any bag for your laundry pickup, including disposable bags, which most people typically use. You can also use laundry bags, and we’ll return them to you laundered.

NOTE: If you don’t have a laundry or disposable bag, our WashrPros will provide one for a minimum fee.

Free Pickup/Delivery

SOAK Laundry Service offers free pickup and delivery, available 7 days a week. Simply let us know where, and we'll come straight to you!

Condominiums, Apartments, and Hotels

SOAK provides services to Condominiums, Apartments, and Hotels nationwide. The service and ordering process are exactly the same as if you were ordering from your own home.

A few important things to remember:

• Please designate the "Lobby" of your hotel as the pickup/drop-off location.
• We are unable to pick up or drop off directly at hotel rooms. All services are handled through the hotel lobby.

Schedule a Pickup

SOAK is an on-demand laundry service. Typically, your laundry is picked up soon after you place an order. However, pickup times may vary based on when the order is placed and the selected service speed. For more details on pickup and drop-off times, please refer to our FAQs.

Can't Leave Laundry Out

When placing an order, most customers simply drop off their laundry at the designated pick-up spot and let us handle the rest. It’s quick, easy, and convenient. However, if you're unable to leave your laundry out after placing your order, you can still use SOAK! Here’s how we can make it work for you:

Option 1: Receive a Call or Message Before Pickup/Delivery

During the order process, you'll be asked to select a "pickup spot." Select your location and choose the option "additional Instruction." Then, write "message me on arrival" or "call me once arrived" depending on your preference.

Option 2: Coordinate Pickup with Your WashrPros

During the order process, you'll be prompted to choose a "pickup spot." Select your preferred location, and you'll receive a message from your WashrPros with the scheduled pickup time. If you're not ready to leave your laundry outside, simply reply to your WashrPros to let them know. Ask them to knock, ring the doorbell, or send a message when they arrive, and you can hand-deliver the laundry at that time.

If the scheduled pickup or delivery time doesn’t work for you, feel free to reach out to your WashrPros to agree on a more convenient time.

Note: A surcharge fee of RM15.00 will be applied if our WashrPros arrive for pickup and are unable to secure your laundry.

Businesses

SOAK services a wide range of businesses. All the information available on our website and app applies to both businesses and residential customers.

If you have more than 200kg of laundry per week, please email us to discuss how we can best meet your needs and provide you with a dedicated manager.

SOAK Laundry Service - Limitations

Size Limitations

SOAK launders items that fit in a standard residential washer and dryer.

SOAK cannot accommodate extra-large items, any item we are unable to launder will be returned in a separate bag, unlaundered, not weighed, and with no charge.

NOTE: Additional charges may apply for items like king-size comforters; please note these in the 'Additional Request' section.

Unsafe or Unsanitary Laundry

We do not service laundry that is unsafe or unsanitary, nor do we handle items with excessive pet hair.

Before you place an order, you will be asked to certify that your laundry:

• is safe and does not include bed bugs, fleas, roaches, or biohazardous materials.
• is sanitary and does not include feces, urine, blood, or vomit, beyond traces normally found in household laundry.
• does not include excessive pet hair.

Violators incur a RM50.00 fee, laundry returned “as is,” and the account may be closed.

Weight Limitations

SOAK Standard (next-day) laundry service, there is no maximum amount of laundry we can do for you; however, if it's over 45/kg we may need extra days to complete the work.

SOAK Express (same-day or overnight) service, the weight limit is 28/kg.

Quality Control

Quality control is number one priority for SOAK.

At SOAK, our WashrPros exclusively use trusted detergents like Attack, Breeze, Dynamo, Fab, and Top. To ensure transparency, they’ll send a photo of the detergent to the customer in the chat as proof.
